Hunter USMC

Mr. Hunter P. Mitchell USMC, age 30 of Madison, MS. Formerly of Franklin, TN passed away on February 6, 2015. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps from 2005-2009. During this time he served one deployment to Iraq. Graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice & Homeland Security with minor in Accounting Business Law. He was currently attending the Mississippi College of Law in Jackson and was employed with the Mississippi Attorney General's Office Vulnerable Person's Unit. He was an Alumni of the Wounded Warrior Project. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. Preceded in death by grandparents, Bitsy Powell Arlt and Mims & Myra Mitchell. Survived by a loving family including wife, Heather Abraham Mitchell; daughter, Charlotte Annabelle Mitchell; parents, Dr. Larry M. Mitchell and Catherine Arlt Mitchell; grandfather, John B. (Jean) Arlt Jr.; siblings, Jay, Reed, Morris and Gray Mitchell; aunt, Ame Arlt; uncle, John B. Arlt III; many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1216 Sneed Rd. West, Franklin, TN 37069. Military honors to follow. Visitation will be held 12-2pm Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
