Alexander Beatty

Alexander Constantine Beatty, age 24 of Brentwood, TN passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2016. Alex was born on October 23, 1991 in Sofia, Bulgaria and was adopted at seven weeks old by his parents, Liz and Yarnell Beatty (Brentwood). He was a 2010 graduate of Currey Ingram Academy in Nashville where he was a member of the varsity football team. He also attended Ravenwood High School where he was a varsity wrestler. Alex earned his Associate of Science degree in 2014 from Columbia State Community College. At his death, Alex was a senior at MTSU in the College of Media and Entertainment, majoring in film and video production. His passions were Minnesota Vikings football, cheering on the Crimson Tide with his family, nature walks, the beach, playing guitar, filmmaking, hanging out with his dog Marley, the mysteries of the stars and skies, Star Wars, and being a part of the community of his favorite band Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) at musical festivals and concerts all over North America. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and laugh, his caring nature and his unending loyalty and compassion for others. Alex is preceded in death by his grandparents Patsy and Guy Beatty of Lookout Mountain. He is survived by his parents, brother Matthias (Brentwood), grandparents Virginia and Frank Galloway, Sr. (Mount Juliet), and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. On Friday, June 24th visitation will be from 1-3 P.M. and the Celebration of Life service will begin at 3 P.M. at the church he has been a part of since he was three years old, East Brentwood Presbyterian Church (9000 Concord Rd, Brentwood). A graveside service will immediately follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens (3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin). Rev. John Hilley will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to East Brentwood Presbyterian Church.
