Alfred Myers

Mr. Alfred R. "Al" Myers, age 80 of Franklin, TN passed away peacefully at his home on September 4, 2015. He retired after 30 plus years of service from General Motors. He loved to garden and was a master woodcarver. Al was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by parents, Rollie and Oro King Myers; brother, Bill Myers. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Etta Myers of Franklin; daughters, Danita (Gerald) Reaves of Melburn, OH, Kim Day of Gatlinburg, TN and Nicole (Nick) Jones of Franklin; brother, Richard Myers of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Jena (Matt) Ramsey, Ryan Reaves, Jessie, Emily and Justin Ogle, Bella, Sophia and Oliver Jones. Services will be held 6:00PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Stanley Jones officiating. Visitation will be held 4-6PM Tuesday. Honorary Pallbearers include Gary Campbell, Jack Page, Randall Lay and Doug Raymond. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
