Alice Lamont Spaulding, age 81 of Franklin, TN went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017.
Alice was born in Nashville, TN on May 12, 1936, daughter of the late John "Tat" & Doretha Allen. A graduate of the University School Nashville/Peabody & Florida Southern University. President of the Santa Helpers Fanny Battle, a member of Mayor Beverly Briley Commission for underprivileged Children in Nashville. She was the Woman of the week on WLAC radio. Alice was the Owner of Myrtle Spaulding Limited Clothing Store, she was also a member of book clubs, Allied Arts, Meals on Wheels and Volunteered at Vanderbilt Hospital; original Dolcent of Carnton Plantation.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Van David Spaulding, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Van David Spaulding, Jr. & Boyce Collins Spaulding; brother Jack Allen of Primm Springs, TN; 4 grandchildren & extended Spaulding, Allen & Duke Families.
There will be a graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers will be Bo Spaulding, YD Spaulding, John Allen, III, Glen Allen, Pat Spaulding, Bruce Spaulding, Olly Pettre & Philip Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Joel B. Spaulding, John Duke & Trey Duke.
Memorials may be made to the Downtown Historic Presbyterian Church, Franklin, TN, in loving memory of Alice Spaulding.
