Alvin Goins

GOINS, Mr. Alvin R., age 65 of Triune, TN died February 18, 2014. Born in Franklin, TN to the late Joseph Edward & Florence Irene Johnson Goins. Former owner and operator of Goins Auto Repair in Triune. He loved racing and worked with drivers, Allen Carter and Tandy Marlin at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. He was also an avid Alabama football fan. Preceded in death by brother, David Goins and sister, Lula Mae Long. Survived by sons, Shawn (Becky) Goins of Murfreesboro, TN, Shane (Jessica) Goins of Murfreesboro, TN and Jeremy (Donya) Goins of LaVergne, TN; daughter, Shannon (Jesse) Stevens of Syracuse, NY; brothers, Jack Goins, Sr. of Madison, TN, William "Billy" (Karen) Goins of Eagleville, TN, Wayne (Tammy) Goins of Triune, TN, Robert (Rachael) Goins of Mt. Juliet, TN and Sammy (Colleen) Goins of White House, TN; sisters, Joyce (Marion) Waller of Inglewood, TN, Joann (Vince) Mott of New Jersey, Barbara (Tommy) Eason of Donelson, TN and Cathey Goins of New Jersey; grandchildren, Jade, Kaidyn and Noah Goins, Jonathan and Ariel Sykes; sister in-law, Faye Taylor Goins of Franklin, TN. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Friday, February 21, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Reed Buntin officiating. Burial will follow in Triune Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Alvin Goins Memorial Fund.
