Anna Mary Dressler, of Franklin, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at the age of 93. Anna spent most of her life in the Philadelphia, PA area. After taking "early retirement" from Mars Electronics at the age of 76, she relocated in 1996 to Franklin to be closer to her family. Anna was an active member of the J L Clay Senior Citizens Center and College Grove Community Center where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends. In her home life, she spent time knitting and loved bestowing her handiwork on many friends in the community. Anna was an avid Nashville Predators' fan and kind-hearted woman who touched many people with her generous spirit. She loved the Lord and her family and was a blessing to all of those in her life. She is survived by her three children - Donna Dressler, Linda (Dressler) Schneider, and Thomas Dressler II; her beloved son-in-law, Carl Schneider; her five grandchildren - Bethany (Schneider) Guest, Meredith Schneider, Thomas Dressler III, Kimberly Dressler, and Shelly Dressler; four great-grandchildren; and Tere Hendricks, cherished family friend and caregiver to Anna. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 800-628-0028, a cause that was dear to Anna's heart. A celebration of her life will be held at Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Rd., Brentwood, TN, on Friday, February 28. The family will receive visitors at the church at 3:00 PM, followed by the service at 4:00 PM. WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES 615-794-2289 www.williamsonmemorial.com
