Mrs. Bertie Bolton Pantall, 96, longtime resident of Mooresville Pike in Columbia, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Emeritus at Legacy Crossing in Franklin.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late George Washington Bolton and Sarah Hardin Bolton and attended Maury County schools. On December 24, 1938 she married Oliver W. Pantall who preceded her in death May 4, 2010. Mrs. Pantall had a special love for children and enjoyed visiting families with her husband as part of his ministry. She also enjoyed cooking, auto racing and basketball. She was a member of Thompson's Station Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Sara Pantall Hood of Franklin; sons, Jimmy (Linda) Pantall of Columbia, Steve (Mary Jo) Pantall and Phil (Claire) Pantall both of Franklin; grandchildren, Mrs. Paula (Sterling) Marlin, David (Deanna) Hood, Todd (Kim) Pantall, Scott (Paige) Pantall, Chad Pantall, Shane (Kacy) Pantall, Jon (Jenny) Hood, Mrs. Stephanie (Tim) Dockstader, Grayson Pantall; thirteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Grace Bolton and Jean Pantall.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tim Hood.
Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include members of Thompson's Station Church of Christ, staff and residents of Emeritus at Legacy Crossing in Franklin and the Komfort Keepers caretakers.
