Bessie Lee Shannon, age 98 of Nashville, TN passed away on November 18, 2017. Born in Louisville, KY to the late Robert Rixman and Carrie Smyser Rixman. She attended the Franklin Street Baptist Church in Louisville, KY at an early age. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald F. "Jerry" Shannon; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She leaves behind one son, Patrick M. Shannon (Nancy); grandchildren, Blair Shannon and Megan Rohrer (Lance); great grandchildren, McKayla Rohrer, Jacob, Caleb and Emma Shannon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Friday at Resthaven Memorial.
