Betty Trondsen

July 3, 1935 — April 4, 2019

Betty Hillman Trondsen, age 83, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away April 4, 2019. Betty graduated from East Tennessee State University and received her Master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She was a retired teacher and librarian with the Dickson County School System in Dickson, Tennessee, and the Sullivan County School System in Kingsport, Tennessee. Betty was a Charter Member of the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church and a member of the Allied Arts Club. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, L. Eugene "Gene" Trondsen; parents, Woodrow and Dorothy Welch Hillman. Survived by her daughter, Nancy Trondsen (Don) Warden; son Woodrow E. Trondsen; grandchildren, Donald E. (Lindsey), Jonathan, and Ellen Warden; great-grandson, Everett Warden; sister, Sandra Hillman (H. Douglas) House and 3 nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tennessee, with the Reverend Sally Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the past and present Elders of the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church. Graveside service will be held at a later date in Scott County, Virginia, at Holston View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church.
