Betty Watkins

Betty Givens Blaylock Watkins, age 86 of Franklin, TN passed away on August 14, 2016. Ms. Betty was born in Williamson County to the late Bennie Ewing Givens and Gertie Lucinda Lampley. She was a caring and giving person who would help anyone in need. She was a hardworking woman that spent a lot of time on the family farm and enjoyed being outdoors. She also was a talented and creative seamstress who made clothing for all of her children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her siblings, Dexter Givens, Alton Givens and Robert Givens; grandchildren, Troy Brown and Tammy Jones; great grandson, Josh Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Blaylock Clark, Barbara "Bobbie" Blaylock Davis and Connie Blaylock; siblings, Morris Givens, Jeffery (Hazel) Givens and Mary Lejune Givens McLean; grandchildren, J. Tyler Davis and Lauren Davis Estey; great grandchildren, Hayden Latson, Addison Estey, Corey Brown, Alisha Kelley Feldstein, Ashley Jones and Rebecca Jones; great great grandchild, Athena Feldstein. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8pm on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Richland Place Health Center for the care that they provided to Ms. Betty.
