Mr. Bobby Gene Emmons, age 72 of Brentwood, TN passed away February 23, 2015. Legendary songwriter/musician who was most recognized for his songs, "Luckenbach Texas", "Wurlitzer Prize", "Love Me Like You Used To" and "So Much Like My Dad". Member of the Memphis Boys who played on well over 100 chart topping hits. More importantly, loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to so many. Survived by: wife of 52 years, Dorthy "Dot" Emmons; daughters, Laurie Shinbaum & Sherry (David) Brugman; grandchild, Stephani (Ryan Decker) Shinbaum and brother, Joseph Emmons. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Entombment in Williamson Memorial Gardens Remembrance Mausoleum. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Memphis Boys. Memorials may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
