Bobby Charles Smithson, age 72 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away September 12, 2018. 1965 Graduate of Central High School in Nashville, TN. Veteran of the U.S. Airforce and served during Vietnam. Retired as Service Technician with Sears Service Dept. Also retired from Bobby Hamilton Racing. He had a true passion the racing industry. Survived by: son, Shane (Jennifer) Smithson; brother, Phil (Mary Jane) Smithson; grandchildren, Nylissa Skyara and Jayden; life partner, Melody Bonee; close family members, Brittany, Kayla, Janna and Langston. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, September 17, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be George Post, Wayne Newcomb, Mike McDaniel, Mark Holt, Jonathan Smithson and Doug Norman. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289.
