Carl Harris

Carl Wayne Harris was born in Santa Fe, Tennessee on January 24th 1936.

A graduate of Franklin High School, Wayne’s first jobs were on Main Street in Franklin at Gray’s Drug store and the legendary Franklin Theatre. Wayne served in the Tennessee Air National Guard and had a rewarding career in the apparel industry and later as a financial planner.

Wayne was a competitive tennis player and avid golfer, he enjoyed sailing and traveling. He loved music and sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.  His family and friends were the two most important things to him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha D. Harris, and his siblings Arville, Opal, Roy, Ewing, and Audrey. He is survived by his sister, Lois, and his loving children, Dee Ann Harris, Marc Harris and daughter-in-law Belle Anne Harris.

Wayne was a devoted father and loving friend, and he will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, followed by a memorial service on July 17, 2022 At Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, Tennessee.
