Carl Haid Schultheis III, age 45, passed away on November 21, 2022 after a brief battle with liver cancer.
Carl was born in Annapolis, Maryland on December 28, 1976. He was raised in southern Maryland and graduated from Great Mills High School in 1995. In high school, Carl was at the top of his class; a member of the National Honors Society and an all-conference athlete lettering in soccer, wrestling, and track & field. He learned his love of water, fishing, and hunting growing up on the Chesapeake. After high school, Carl attended the University of Mississippi. He enjoyed several years at Ole Miss prior to pursuing his love of being a chef and running restaurants. Carl and Tami met in 2005, married in 2008 and started a lovely family. Carl was often found pursuing his passion for cooking and serving his community as a chef. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone that needed help. Carl was a jack of all trades who enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music, family vacations, and cheering for Ole Miss. Most of all he was a wonderful husband and father to his two beautiful children, Hadley and Haid. His love for his family and friends was undeniable and he will truly be missed by all that had the fortune to be a part of his life.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Tami Bryant Schultheis; beloved children Hadley Schultheis and Haid Schultheis; loving parents Carl Schultheis Jr. and Kathryn Leypoldt; cherished siblings Curt Schultheis and wife, Janna, Kristy Schultheis Swayze and husband, Kris and six nieces and nephews.
