A celebration of life for Carol H. Haury, who passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, Florida, will be Saturday, February 5, 2011, 5:00 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange. The family will be receiving friends for an hour prior to the service, from 4:00 pm till 5:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM Saturday with Visitation one hour pior, February 12, 2011 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, Tennessee 37064. 615 794-2289.
Mrs. Haury was born in Garden City, Michigan and moved to the Port Orange area in 1999 from Franklin, Tennessee. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree. Mrs. Haury was a retired Teacher and Basketball Coach. She was a member of Port Orange Church of Christ, Cypress Head Women's Golf Association and was a volunteer for Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. She was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family.
Mrs. Haury leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 42 years, John; son, John "Trey" (Kristina) Haury, McDonough, GA; daughter, Jana (Richard) Burns, McDonough, GA; son, Jason, (Becky) Haury, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Douglas (Dottie) Holland, Brownsville, TX; sister, Wendy Verchota, Fairview, TN; five grandsons and one granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.volusiamemorialfuneral.com.
