Carolyn Ladd Freeman, age 74 of Brentwood, TN passed away May 12, 2019. She was the co-founder and matriarch of Freeman Flowers and Gifts. Carolyn's career and hobbies were varied including a world champion sailor, very accomplished artist, talented florist and editor of Freeman Publishing Company. She was a co-founder of Percy Priest Yacht Club. Executive Secretary of the Intl. J/22 (sailboat racing) Class Association. Preceded in death by son, Ladd Freeman; parents, James William and Joyce Lazenby Ladd. Survived by: husband of 50 years, Galen Freeman; daughter, Shea (Gordon Patrick) Freeman and beloved dog, Monet. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Percy Priest Yacht Club - Hamilton Creek Sailing Marina with visitation one hour prior to the service.
