Carolynne Anne Butters (Smith) 1944-2018, age 74 passed away peacefully November 29, 2018 in her home in Franklin TN surrounded by her family and friends. Carolynne loved to cook, garden, entertain, and play candy crush. Her favorite thing was her trademark tall glass of vodka, soda and lime with lots of ice, sitting around the screen porch table talking, sharing stories and laughs with her kids and friends. Carolynne's lifelong love of music encouraged others and she taught herself to play the 12-string guitar and piano. She had a special fondness for Billy Ray Cyrus, Willy Nelson, Rod Stewart and Neil Diamond. Carolynne travelled extensively for business and vacations. She was in love with Italy sharing many exciting experiences with her family and friends at Villa Mina, Castello di Cabbiavoli, and Oasi Olimpia Relais in Florence, Siena and Sorrento. Carolynne had a distinguished business career. She worked in Marketing for Northern Telecom, was Office manager and IBM guru for A. Schulman, and was the new product Engineering Change Coordinator for Caterpillar Tractor. Carolynne was a superb designer and decorator and was frequently consulted to assist friends, family and neighbors to make their homes "special". Carolynne is survived by her loving husband Gerald John Butters, Sister June Butterwick, Sister Lenore Jones, Brother Rick (Barbara) Smith, Step Brother Bert (Eileen) Galipeau, Step Brother Dennis Galipeau, Step Brother Phil Galipeau. Son Kelley (Pam) Jernigan, Daughter Dominique (Jim) Deshields, Daughter Teresa (Larry) Boyd, Daughter Tamara (Matt) McGraw, Daughter Wanda (Rob) Knight, Daughter Marybeth Hughes. Grandchildren, Michael Jernigan, Marissa Jernigan, Samantha Deshields, Christopher Deshields, Alex Boyd, Ashley McGraw, Lindsay Knight, Spencer Knight, Weston Knight, Cameron Hughes, Grant Hughes. Great grandson Elijah Knight and Great granddaughter Eleanor Hughes.

Macallan and Mina....her Puppies. To Carolynne's many, many friends and family please know that she cherished and loved you deeply. She opened her heart to so many and made everyone feel welcome and extra special. There will be Celebrations of her life in Saint James City FL, Franklin TN, and St. Thomas, ONT, Canada in 2019.
