Charles Leslie Tomlin, age 78 of Franklin, TN passed away March 5, 2018. Son of the late George W. and Grace Crafton Tomlin. Preceded in death by son, Kenny Tomlin, sisters Lois Harrison, Eunice Jackson, Lorene Clark and Carolyn Newcomb. Survived by: his best friend & wife of 59 years, Annie Reed Tomlin; daughter, Kathy (John) Maxwell; sons, Keith Tomlin and Scott (Lee) Tomlin all of Franklin, TN; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; his constant companion yorkie, Moochie Noel; brothers, Larry (Carla) Noe, Johnny "Reddog" (Susan) Tomlin; sisters, Mary Barnes, Hazel (Randy) Carter, Joan Jackson and Geraldine (Phillip "Phooly") Middleton. A member of the Berry's Chapel Church of Christ. He was a retired journeyman meat cutter with 25 years of service. Then he started a family landscaping business which he retired from at the age of 74. He loved to rabbit hunt and fish but he was best known for his outdoor Bar-B-Que and grilling and sharing it with friends and family. A member of the TN Army National Guard, retiring after twelve years with an honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dennis Makins and Mike Dorris officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Keith Tomlin, Scott Tomlin, John Maxwell, Steve Sullivan, Danny Reed and Roy Cockrill. Honorary pallbearers will be Grandchildren, Larry & Carla Noe, Randy & Hazel Carter, Channing & Sue Workman, Mildred Tenpenny and John Kinnie. Memorials may be made to Berry's Chapel Church of Christ Family Care Fund.
