Charles William Brown

Charles William Brown, better known as “Billy”, died on January 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Billy was born on June 30, 1935 in Franklin, Tennessee. He loved music, cars, and above all his family. He played the guitar and banjo and sang in the church choir (Johnson’s Chapel). Billy worked with his father, Wilson, at Wilson Brown and son Billy Motors for more than thirty years. He was an innovator in automotive sales and well respected by his peers for his honesty and integrity.

Billy was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Sue Ann Brown. He is survived by his children Kelly Smith (Richard), Dudley Brown (Kimberly), Belinda Denny (Mark), Lance Brown (Jenette); grandchildren Joshua, Noel (Ricky), Caleb, Zachary, Anna Kate, and Samuel; great-grandchildren Isabella, Olivia, and Luca.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025 at Johnson’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 201 High Lea Road, Brentwood, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Johnson’s Chapel or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
