Charlotte Lasater

September 13, 1923 — July 19, 2018

Charlotte Folkner Lasater, age 94, of Franklin, died on July 19, 2018. She is preceded in death by father Charles M. Folkner, mother Ethel Bonner Folkner, and husband Bryan W. Lasater (1955).
She graduated from Red Bank High School's first class in 1941 and the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in Home Economics. An educator with the Marion and Hamilton County Systems for 32 years, she taught at Marion County High School, Hixson High School and retired from Red Bank High School in 1984.
A member of Franklin First United Methodist Church, she was previously an over 50-year member of the White Oak United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was formerly active in American Home Economics and Hamilton County Home Economics Assocs., American Business Women, Daytonia Garden Club, Chattanooga Hamilton County and Tennessee Retired Teachers Assocs., and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma since 1960.
Mrs. Lasater is survived by son Bryan, daughter Mary Charles Lasater, and grandson Justin Lasater Haley.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 10 am CST at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN and officiated by the Dr. Rev. A. Lynn Hill.
