Christene Shaw

Mrs. Christene Smithson Shaw, age 89 of Franklin, TN, passed away August 4, 2016. Retired Register Nurse with Veterans Administration Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, Oswalt Shaw; parents, Escar Knott and Josephine Meek Smithson; brothers, Herbert, Frank, Ralph, Joe & Leland Smithson; sisters, Thelma "Doll" Ham, Agnes Wells, Carolyn Cook & Mary Wilson; granddaughter, Lindsey Lane Shaw. Survived by sons, Billy (Julie) Shaw and Barry (Kelly Childs) Shaw; grandchildren, Lane Shaw, Grace Shaw, Kelly Shaw Vetitoe and Kirby Cochran; several nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dr. Lynn Hill and Rev. Regina Proctor officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Friends at Morning Pointe of Franklin. Memorials may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church or Alive Hospice. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
