Claude Hackett, Jr.

Claude Cavet Hackett, Jr. age 90 of Franklin, TN passed away August 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in Jackson County, TN to the late Cavet & Annie Lee Hackett. Claude was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After a career of 50 years in credit management with Harpeth National and Third National Banks as well as other financial institutions, he retired to a lifelong love of growing beautiful roses to share with others. He was a member of Berry's Chapel Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ethel Poteet Hackett; daughter, Joan Hitchcock Dell of Franklin, TN; brother, Jack (Linda) Hackett of Goodlettsville, TN; sister, Mary Weismiller of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tammy) Hitchcock and Jason (Becca) Hitchcock; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Kylee, Brody & Colby Hitchcock. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, August 20, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Andy Baker officiating. Visitation will be 2-5PM Sunday at Williamson Memorial. Graveside Service will be 3:00PM Monday at John L. Clark Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Dodge, Dr. Barbara Murphy and her oncology department at Vanderbilt Cancer Center and Alive Hospice with all their wonder workers.
