GAMBLE, Coach Howard Redell, Sr., age 84 of Franklin, TN, May 5, 2012. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Legendary retired coach of Franklin High School Football and taught school for over 40 years. In 2004, the football stadium was named the Howard Gamble Stadium to honor him for his countless time and leadership with the youth of Franklin. Preceded in death by wife, Margaret Williams Gamble. Survived by: son, Howard Gamble, Jr.; daughters, Sandy Gamble & Susan Thompson; grandchildren, Max Cook II, Michelle Garlock, James & Jonathan Thompson & Nicholas Gamble; sister, Dorothy Sanders; sister in laws, Tommie Williams & Kay Schwarz; brother in laws, Albert (Sue) Williams & Don (Pierette) Williams. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be former and present football players for Franklin High School. Memorials may be made to the Franklin High School Athletic Association. Visitation will be 4-8PM Monday, 12 Noon until 8PM Tuesday and 12 Noon until service time on Wednesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
