Dale Leonard Berrett, age 82 of Brentwood, TN and the Raus Community in Tullahoma, TN passed away January 29, 2018. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Honor Guard, and retired as a Major in the U. S. Air Force. Dale received his Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. He began his airline career with Braniff International and flew as a 747 captain. He finished his 30 year flying career as chief pilot for Tower Air in New York but always remained a cattle farmer at heart. Dale was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In his later years, he was an avid member of Peterson for Parkinson's group, participating in their choir and boxing classes. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard & Thryza Berrett and brothers, Keith Berrett & Rob Berrett. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Edna Locke Berrett; daughters, Dalena Berrett & Davonna (Randy) Wachtler; sons, Tebin Berrett & Ted (Melissa) Berrett; grandchildren, Koty & Kali Berrett, Harrison & Haden Wachtler and Jackson & Tyler Berrett; brother, Dan (Sharron) Berrett; sisters, Janice (Charles) Trent & Sheryl (Dave) Rambeau and many friends and family. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday and one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial. Burial will follow in Hall Cemetery in Burns, TN. Grandchildren and son in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are L.D. Truitt, R.B. Dorman, John Costley, Bill Barton & Dell Olaveson.
