CARTER, Mr. David Scott, age 61, known to many as "Bucky" passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from a plane crash in Lebanon, TN. David was born and raised in Nashville and was the son of Ruth Eileen Kirsch Carter and Kenwood Switzer Carter. Both of his parents preceded him in death.
David played bass in several rock bands as a young man, including a band called the Roccoons. He also raced go-karts in the TDKA series and champ carts. He also raced in the truck series at the Highland Rim and racecars at the Fairgrounds. He started his own company on Music Row, EditTech, which was bought by Jerry Reed and went on to work for Jerry Reed for many years. He toured with several artists as an audio engineer. For the last 13 years of his life, he was an audio-visual analyst for Caterpillar Financial on West End in Nashville.
David lived his life to the fullest and was best known for his kindness, willingness to serve others and his remarkable wit and humor. He died doing what he loved to do, fly ultralight planes. He was the Secretary, webmaster and newsletter editor for MTUG (Middle Tennessee Ultralight Group ) in Nashville.
On February 14th, 2014 he married the love of his life, Angela "Angie" Sue Carter and they resided in the Bellevue area. He left behind his wife, Angie and a daughter, Felicia Taraczkozy. He was survived by one brother, Robert Charles "Bobby" (Helen) Carter or West Virginia and two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Joyce (Oren Edward) Cameron and Bonnie Carter Matlock; one nephew and five nieces. He was preceded in death by another brother, William Frank "Billy" Carter.
