David Price, age 54, lost his battle with cancer on November 12, 2014. He passed gracefully and peacefully at home with his wife holding his hand and surrounded by his loving family.
David was born in Detroit MI, raised in Livonia MI, and later resided in Fullerton and Irvine CA before moving to Brentwood, TN. He received his bachelor's degree from General Motors Institute (GMI), now Kettering University, in Flint MI where he was an active member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He also attended Stanford University where he received his MBA. He worked for General Motors in MI for 13 years and for Nissan North America in CA and TN in various management positions for over 20 years.
Although he suffered a devastating injury at birth resulting in paraplegia, he never let that slow him down or prevent him from doing anything he set his mind on. This loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend accomplished more in his lifetime than many people with even half the challenges he faced. For those fortunate enough to have him in their life, he was beautiful, smart, funny, kind, happy, resilient, optimistic, caring, strong, brave, generous, loving and simply irreplaceable.
In his final weeks, he had hundreds of people reaching out to him from all over the world via emails, cards, phone calls and personal visits. It was a testament to his character and the impact he had on those who knew him. By the time of his passing, he had been shown that he was an inspiration to and loved by so many - this was a true gift from those who shared their feelings and memories with him.
Preceded in death by mother, Patricia Price. Survived by wife, Connie Price; daughters, Elizabeth and Sabrina Price; father, N. Mckinley "Mac" Price; brother Scott (Joyce) Price; sisters Lisa (Chuck) Schweitzer and Allison (Jim) Spencer; grandsons, Jaden and Travis Connors; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
