David Tigrett

David Alan Tigrett of Franklin, TN died April 27th surrounded by his family. Born February 6, 1949 to Katherine Strait Tigrett and Terry Aldridge Tigrett, he grew up in Brandon, MS where he enjoyed a wonderful childhood and memorable formative years. David married Barbara Conner in 1970 and spent the ensuing years in faithful love and service to her and their three children. Upon graduation in 1967 from Brandon High School, he received a football scholarship to Mississippi State where he completed his BA degree. He then attended Reformed Theological Seminary and received a Mdiv in 1975. Papa, as he was affectionately called, enjoyed sports, bicycle riding, fishing and reading and studying his Bible. His faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was central to who he was and how he lived his life. He had an infectious smile and never met a stranger. David is survived by his wife and his three children and eight grandchildren; Christy Alynn Huff of Spring Hill, TN, her husband Bobby and their children, Haley, Conner, Katy Grace and David Ethan; CDR David Matthew Tigrett of Hollywood, MD, his wife, Marci and their sons Matthew and Andrew; Amy Leigh Thorpe of Spring Hill, TN, her husband, Todd and their daughters Avery and Mallory.
