Delores Beathard

Delores Guess Beathard, age 74 went to be with the Lord, April 2, 2018. She was born in Texas and raised on a farm. There she learned the meaning of hard work and hard times by helping her family in the cotton and hay fields. She was a retired teacher after 35 years of service. She taught at Hardin High School in Hardin, TX. She was a devoted pastor's wife and her husband Rev. Paul Wesley Beathard pastored in several churches including Heights Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas. She and her husband moved to Franklin to be with family. She volunteered at Poplar Grove as a teacher's assistant. She was the friendly assistant that gave out the samples at Costco. Active member and faithful servant at Hope Church of Franklin. Delores was a two time cancer survivor but was recently told that the cancer had returned again. She was a strong woman and kept a positive attitude with a smile to say that "tomorrow would be a better day". She was an amazing woman, loving mother and grandmother who was a hero to her family. She had a kind spirit and will be sadly missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Wesley Beathard; parents, Lawrence Edward and Mary Jane Warren Guess and brother, Lawrence Edward Guess Jr. Survived by: sons, Brian Paul (Lisa) Beathard and Stephen Kyle Beathard; grandchildren, Ava Marie and Payce Allen Beathard all of Franklin, TN; brothers, Robert Dale (Belinda) Guess of Oakwood, TX and Wayne "Bubba" (Theresa) Guess of Boling, TX. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jay Austin officiating.
