Delores Ratcliff

Delores Evelyn Cecil Ratcliff, known as Dee to her family and friends, passed away on April 18, 2019 at the age of 83. Dee was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Waldo and Claudia Cecil on June 21, 1935. She married her high school sweetheart, Wesley Don Ratcliff, on February 18, 1955. They had two daughters and moved to Franklin, Tennessee in 1973 where they continued to live for the rest of her life.

Dee was primarily a loving wife, mother and homemaker, but she also taught Total Woman, was a realtor at Carriage Hill and then Phillips Builders, was a Mary Kay beauty consultant, and more recently taught water aerobics at the YMCA. She was active in the community, particularly through The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed golfing, painting, reading, and sewing.

She will forever be remembered with love by her husband, Don, daughters: Susan Ratcliff Davis (Tim), Stephanie Ratcliff Cardel (Dean), grandchildren: Kristin Buschmann Madrid (Kenny), Andrew Davis (Leanna), Olivia Davis Wright (Clint), Rachel Cardel Phimphivong (Anoulom), Michael Cardel (Emily), and Jeremy Cardel, great grandchildren: Breckan Davis and Gabriela Madrid, and her brother Waldo Cecil, Jr. (Nancy) of Shreveport, LA, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation with her family is scheduled on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 2-4 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Franklin, with a service to follow.
