February 21, 1936 — June 25, 2016

Dr. Harry J. Adams, Jr., age 80 of Brentwood, TN went to be with the Lord, June 25, 2016. Practiced Dentistry for 38 years in the Brentwood area. Served as Captain in the US Army. He was a member of the John B. Garrett Masonic Lodge and the Al Menah Shriners Temple. Member of Nashville Golf and Athletic Club and member of the Brentwood Shrine Golf Group. He attended Oak Valley Baptist Church. He was affectionately known as "Papa", "Doc" and "Bones". Preceded in death by parents, Harry J., Sr. and Mildred Cox Adams and sister, Joan C. Howe. Survived by: wife of 59 years, Marilyn Dungey Adams; son, Harry Jeffery (Cherie) Adams; daughter, Jackie (Troy) Fontechia; sisters, Cathy Crawford and Elizabeth Adams; grandchildren, Alli Adams, Jessica Adams, Luke Fontechia and Adam Fontechia; other loving family members and granddogs, Bentley and Lyla. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dr. Jerry Winfield officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers are George Lunn, Les McClimans, Lous Wallace, Joe Taggert, David Johnson, Mark Davis, Bob Pomeroy, Will Burchett and Paul Creseend. Honorary pallbearers are Harvey Schneider, Travis Lovvorn, Walton Kraver, David Brownlee, Gary High, the Brentwood Shrine Golf Group and Reed-Young Thursday Bible Study Group. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or charity of your choice. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday with a Masonic Service to be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
