Dr. Matthew Alvin Corn, age 38 of Thompson's Station, TN passed away on November 12, 2016. Born and raised in Hendersonville, NC, he attended Faith Christian School before graduating from Liberty University, where he was on the National Dean's List. He served as a fireman in Asheville, NC, at the Biltmore Estate, before moving to the Nashville, TN, area to attend the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Tennessee State University. He worked as a physical therapist with Maury Regional Home Health for the past four years.
Matthew loved his family above all else, and served faithfully as a Deacon at Oak Valley Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, often fishing with his father-in-law, hiking and swimming with his family and running. He had many close friends from his hometown and from his "Lunch Crew" Brazilian Jiu Jitsu group in Spring Hill. Preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Levi Corn, and his grandparents Albert and Jeanette Corn, Ralph and Lillie Mae Levi. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jessica Kimery Corn and his two beautiful daughters, Vivian Elizabeth Corn and Josephine Ruth Corn. Also survived by his father, George Christopher Corn; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Roseanna Kimery, sister-in-law, Lindsey (Matt) Anderson and many other loving aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and family members. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Oak Valley Baptist Church, Dr. Jerry Winfield officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Class and the employees of Maury Regional Home Health.
