Dr. Wilson

Harold "Hal" Owen Wilson, Ph.D.,CPA, CFE, age 80 of Bon Aqua, TN passed away April 12, 2016 in Franklin, TN. Born in Birmingham, AL to the late Harvey, Jr. & Verna McCalab Wilson. Hal was a graduate of David Lipscomb College, received his Masters degree from the University of Missouri and his PhD from the University of Alabama. He was the Vice President of Wilson & Wilson CPA's; Past President of Tennessee Society of CPA's; Certified Fraud Examiners and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the TN Society of Certified Public Accountants. Hal retired from Middle Tennessee State University where he served as Department Chair. Preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Henry Wilson and grandson, Patrick Lane. Survived by wife of 37 years, Sylvia Wilson; son, Steve Wilson; daughters, D'Lorah Lane, Donna Gentry, Leigh Hale and Lori Kolb; grandchildren, Kristyn (Michael) McMahan, Jennifer Hughes, Spencer (Abby) Wilson, Melody Wilson, Brian Morton, Brandon Morton, Mason Morton, Kinsey Lane, Heidi Kolb and HaiLee Kolb and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:30PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bob Nash, Don Rose, Windel Burton, Bud Clymer, Curt Stubblefield and Ron Carlson.
