Earl Newcomb, age 93 of Spring Hill, TN, passed away September 9, 2018. Earl was a World War II Veteran and he received the Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars for his service. He dedicated his life to serving Christ. He and his wife did missionary work starting several churches, leading the worship services, bible study, teaching classes and witnessing to anyone he met. He served as a Deacon, but he often provided transportation to people coming to church. Visiting nursing homes, holding tent revivals, prayer meetings and singings, showed how he cared about people's souls. He was a true Soldier for Christ giving God the glory. A humble servant of God who shared the gospel everywhere he went. Preceded in death by, parents Charlie and Dewey Newcomb, son Roger Newcomb, four brothers and six sisters. Survived by: wife, Violet Lemox Newcomb, daughters, Debbie (Howard) Hicks, Elaine Newcomb, Carol Driver, Sherrie Kennedy, Terri (Kris) Sisco and Kay (Ronnie) Harper; brother, Milton (Marjorie) Newcomb; sister, Robbie Skinner; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Jim Taylor, Bro. William Burton, Bro. Mike Williams and Bro. Don Burnett officiating. Burial at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Marty Newcomb, Ronnie Harper, Jr., Brandon Ragsdale, Kaleb Bromley, Sebastian Kennedy, Robert Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Brothers and Sisters in Christ during his ministry.
