E. Margaret Lyons

E. Margaret Lyons, age 97, passed from this life to heaven peacefully on January 18, 2025. Margaret was born on October 4, 1927, in Stewart County, TN. Her heart belonged in Grand Rivers, KY where she spent most of her life beside Van, her husband of almost 70 years. Her love for the outdoors kept her close to the water and woods where she hunted and fished on Kentucky and Barkley Lake. She kept her family and friends first in her life. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Van Lyons; beloved grandson, Stuart Henson; parents, Doug and Della Barnes; seven siblings; and many other family members dear to her. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Henson; Gary Henson, whom she loved as a son; niece, Kay Key; granddaughter, Amber Hastings; great grandchildren, Halle, Emma and Bryson Hastings; sister-in-law, Mary Emma Barnes; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at Williamson Memorial in Franklin, TN. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with services at 2:00 PM. Brandon and Delaney Porter will be officiating. Pallbearers: Gary Henson, Bryson Hastings, Brad Barnes, Scott Barnes, Todd Barnes, Jeremy Hastings, Brett Gephart, and Rory Pearce.
