Elmarie Barnes, age 87 of Franklin, TN passed away November 14, 2018. Born September 9, 1931 in Leachville, AR to the late James T. & Rosa Lee Sims Merritt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Barnes and numerous brothers and sisters. Elmarie was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her two most cherished roles were being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Bruce (Pam) Bateman of Franklin, TN and Sherry (David) Hernandez of St. George, UT; step-son, Rocky Barnes of Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren sixteen great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held 1:00PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at Graceland Community Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Community Cemetery. Pastor Ralph Duncan and Pastor Nathan Kollar will officiate. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Graceland Community Church.
