Ernest Gatlin

Mr. Ernest "Preacher" Gatlin, age 89 of Franklin, TN passed away December 16, 2015. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed being with his family. A long time employee of McCall Electric Company before retiring from Sewell Electric Company in Franklin. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at One Stop Market throughout the years. He also enjoyed being outdoors and working hard to provide for his family. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Eunice Ferguson Gatlin; siblings, Earl, Homer, Bill and Glendon Gatlin, Margaret Jones and Virginia Sweeney. Survived by daughters, Odessa Lankford and Dianne (Mark) Chapman; sisters, Josephine Read and Evelyn Gatlin; grandchildren, Amy Barber and her sons Anthony and Daniel, Stephen (Amber) Barber and their son Max and Holly & Dillon Lankford. Services will be conducted 1:00PM Friday, December 18, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Doyle Hurst officiating. Visitation will be held 4-7PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff at NHC Franklin for the loving care given to their daddy during his stay.
