Esther Johnson

Mrs. Esther G. Johnson, age 96 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on October 24, 2016. Before moving to Murfreesboro to be with her daughter, she lived in Maury County and Nashville. She enjoyed reading her bible and listening to gospel and bluegrass music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman T. Johnson; parents, Joseph Lelon Griggs and Lavina Jane Harris Griggs; and eight siblings. She leaves behind her daughter, Zadie J. (James) McClanahan; grandchildren, Mira McClanahan (Bruce Naasz) and David McClanahan (Kate Doss); five great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jason Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Thursday and hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow the service at Lynn Cemetery.
