Mrs. Ethel Elizabeth Mangrum Poteete of the Peytonsville Community passed away March 7, 2016 in Columbia, TN. Born in Williamson County to the late Joe E. Sr. & Mattie Lee Bennett Mangrum. She was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with her family on Sundays. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Poteete, Sr. Survived by sons, Charles (Polly) Poteete of Franklin, TN, Roy (Linda) Poteete of Spring Hill, TN, Billy Rice (Jean) Poteete of the Peytonsville Community and Terry (DuWanna) Poteete of Thompsons Station, TN; brother, Joe Mangrum of Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Margaret Ladd of the Harpeth Community; grandchildren, Keith, Jaime, Jeremy, Lisa, Jenny, Kimberly, Terry and Russell; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Garden at Poplar Estates and Compassionate Hospice.
