Florence Hall

Florence Mary Hall, 93, of Covington, La. and Mobile, Al., went to be with her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2021 in Nashville, Tn.

Mary was born in Tensaw, Baldwin County, Al. to Elizabeth Gullett and Robert Hines Hall on December 27, 1927. Mary was a proud graduate of the University of Alabama and worked as an accountant for the International Paper Company in Mobile, Al. until her retirement. She was actively involved in her churches; First Baptist Church of Mobile, Dauphin Way Baptist Church of Mobile, and Tammany Hills Baptist Church in Covington, La. A member of the choir, Bible studies and prayer group, Mary loved serving at her churches. She was also a member of the Pilot Club of Mobile, the Daughters of the American Revolution, a kitty lover, a crack shot with a rifle, and a master gardener who always shared "pass along" plants with friends and neighbors. Affectionately known as "Aunt Mary" by friends and family of all ages, Mary will be dearly missed.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sarah Hall Shirley, and her brothers, Jesse Carl Hall and Hines Newell Hall.

Mary is survived by her beloved nephew and niece, George Michael Shirley (Kathleen) and Mary Shirley Lamar (Alex), grandnieces and nephews, Caroline Shirley, Corinne Shirley Blackwell (Bobby), Trafford Lamar, Michael Lamar, Sarah Lamar.

A private memorial service will be held on Monday, March 15 in Nashville, Tn. Burial will be at the Hall family cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ochsner Health, Department of Philanthropy or Moody Bible Institute.
