Floyd Carter

Floyd Rivers Carter, age 72 of Arrington, TN passed away suddenly May 15, 2016 at his home. Floyd was a quiet, loving, and simple man. He loved spending time with his family and cooking with them. Also a hard working man and loved gardening, picking at people and cutting grass. Floyd attended Millview Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, William Rufus & Catherine Louise Rivers Carter; brothers, Walter & Willie Carter. Survived by wife, Diane Polk Carter; son, Jason Carter; daughter, Chris McCord; grandchildren, Whitney McCord, Carter McCord and Jackson Carter; brother, Shannon (Frances) Carter; sisters, Lillian (Gilman) Lynch, Ann Allen, Mary Lou (Coy) Bean & Jean Polk; faithful dog, Sis. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ed Slayton officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Hollow Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daryl Duff, David Carter, Carter McCord, Jackson Carter, Tony Tucker , Stacy Polk, Travis Polk and Kerry Savage. Memorials may be made to the Johnson Hollow Cemetery Fund.
