Fred Greer

Fred Lee Greer, age 90, of Ooltewah passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born August 5, 1927 in Ridgley, Tennessee to the late William Fred & Maysel Chamberlain Greer. He was a United States Army Air Force veteran. Mr. Greer was retired from United Homes after more than 15 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Barnes Greer; daughter, Carol A. Zimmerle; and brother, James Greer. Survivors include his grandson, Chad Zimmerle of Ooltewah, TN; son-in-law, James William Zimmerle of Murfreesboro, TN; and nieces, Pam Houser and Cindy Baker of Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the chapel of Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, Tennessee with Rev. Dean Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
