November 11, 1942 — June 21, 2018

Gary Wesley York, age 75 of Franklin, TN passed away June 21, 2018. Longtime member of First Baptist Church now called Church of the City. Received his Bachelors Degree from Belmont University and his Masters Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He taught school with the Williamson County School System. He was principal for Hillsboro School. He retired after 30+ years in education. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Wesley and Nellie Finchum York. Survived by: wife of 53 years, Cecile Crews York; son, Todd (Heather) York; daughter, Tara York (Nathan) Ward; brothers, Randy (Anita) York, Joe York and Bobby (Hope) York; sister, Nancy York; grandchildren, Caitlyn York, Wes Ward & Evie Ward; mother in law, Mildred Crews and other loving family members. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at Church of the City Chapel, 828 Murfreesboro Road, Franklin, TN, Ed Alexander officiating. Visitation will be 4-7PM Sunday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment York Family Farm. Active pallbearers will be Randy York, Joe York, Bobby York, Dr. Paul Vaden, Todd York, Nathan Ward, Jason York and Chase Yancey,. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gems Sunday School Class, Buddy & Nancy Jones and Jr. Finchum. Memorials may be made to Church of the City Chapel Praise.
