Gerald D. "Jerry" Murley, Jr. age 66 of Franklin, TN died February 24, 2016. A "Soul Man" raised in Memphis, TN recently retired as an Assistant Dean of Educational Informatics at Vanderbilt School of Nursing. Survived by wife of 40 years, Joyce Murley; son, Jackson Murley; parents, Gerald & Elizabeth Murley; sister, Deb Dawson; mother in-law, Bobbie Hulme; sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends, colleagues and students, all of whom were inspired by this Renaissance man. He died after a battle with infection and heart disease after victories against cancer. Memorials may be made to the Vanderbilt School of Nursing.
