Gladys Herron

Gladys Marie Stinson Herron, age 88 of Fairview, TN passed from this life to her eternal home at 6:45 pm July 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Thomas Franklin Herron Jr and oldest son Thomas Dean Herron. Parents - William Lawrence Stinson and Hautie Mae Sullivan Stinson. Brothers - Buford, Roy, Coy, Doug and Eugene Stinson. Sisters - Lillie Pearl McGinnis, Viola Lampley, Ruth Cobb, Willa Bea Mangrum, Adele Stinson, and Margaretta Carney. Survived by three loving children - Charles Lynn Herron, Kenneth Ray Herron, Jacqueline Herron Brantley, husband Frank Brantley and Daughter in law, Brenda Anglin Herron. Grandchildren - Bryan and Christopher Beasley, Jennifer Brantley Dirasian, Jeremy, Joshua and Franklin Herron. Brother - Vess Stinson, Sister - Betty Woods, 12 great children plus numerous nephews and nieces. Gladys lived in various states and countries with her husband Thomas who served in the United States Air Force for 25 years. Upon his retirement they resided in Fairview, TN. Gladys enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, quilting, gardening, nature and was an avid bird watcher. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Gladys was a member of Craigfield Baptist Church and a true warrior in sharing the gospel of Jesus with others. Over the last five years she attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Nashville, TN with her daughter and son-in law. She loved the Lord and held strongly to her faith during difficult times and is now walking the streets of gold with her savior. Funeral service will be 10:30AM Monday, August 5, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Roger Hammond and Frank Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family members will service as pallbearers - Bryan Beasley, Nicholas Beasley, Christopher Beasley, Jeremy Herron, Joshua Herron, Franklin Herron, Frank Brantley and Johnny Dirasian. Many thanks to Amedisys Hospice Service, 400 Royal Parkway, Nashville, TN for the loving care and support provided to Gladys and her family during the last month of her life on this side of heaven.
