Grover Harrill, Jr.

Grover Cleveland "G.C." Harrill, Jr. age 77 of Franklin, TN formerly of Shelby, NC passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. G.C. was a retired school teacher with Gaston Co. Schools and a high school basketball coach at Hunter Huss and South Point High School. In 1985 he took the Huskies to win the 4-A State High School Basketball Championship. He loved to play golf, watch Carolina Tar Heel Basketball and was a member of the Gastonia Elks Lodge. His greatest love was his family. He was so loved and will be greatly missed by so many. Preceded in death by parents, Grover Sr. & Eddie Harrill and daughter, Cindy Harrill. Survived by wife Carolyn Blair Harrill of Franklin, TN; daughter, Lisa (Todd) Watkins of Chapel Hill, NC; step-sons, Steve (Kim) Blair of Spring Hill, TN, Matt Blair of Brentwood, TN and Justin Blair of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Katie Watkins, Alex Watkins, Ethan Blair, Samantha Blair and Will Blair.
