MYERS (PINKSTON), Mrs. Heather Mary, age 52 of Franklin, TN. After a brief battle with cancer we lost our dear precious sister, wife and friend. Heather passed away peacefully on July 6, 2013 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on October 27, 1960 in Munster, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Eric Myers and Marjorie Colborne. Heather was raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada, graduating from Sydney Academy (1978) and Saint John New Brunswick School of Nursing (1982). Heather spent 31 years of her life working as a Registered Nurse specializing in Home Health Care, most recently employed with Amedysis in Nashville, Tennessee. Heather loved her family, friends and wonderful co-workers and lived her life to the fullest. She was passionate about playing tennis, caring for her patients and also her 2 beloved dogs Coda and Moonshine. Although her adult life was spent in Nashville, she looked forward to her yearly trips to Nova Scotia to visit family and friends. Please remember Heather for her determination, strength, generous spirit, concern for others and her contagious laugh and smile. Her close friend Krisie put it best, ‘Heather was the sweetest hearted, fun loving and precious friend.' Heather is survived by her loving husband Leigh Pinkston, her dad Edward Colborne, sisters Lisa (Steven) Morrison and Kathy McKinster, brothers Andrew Colborne and David Myers, brother-in-laws Ray (Carrie) Pinkston, Tommy Pinkston, Jim Pinkston, sister-in-law Mary Pinkston, nephews Josh and Oliver Morrison, Kris and Alyson McKinster, Ben and Will Colborne, many wonderful extended family members in Nova Scotia, Canada, special friends Krisie Rouse, Laura Wilhoite and the Ryder family, lovely co-workers, many friends in Nashville. The visitation will be held on Tuesday July 9, 2013 from 5-7 pm at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home (3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, Tenn.). The celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church (510 West Main Street, Franklin, Tenn.) at 10 am with Rev. Tracy Wells Miller officiating. Prior to the service a gathering will be held at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church from 9-10 am. Burial will take place 9 am Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Lane). Over the last week, her family have been surrounded by so many wonderful people who visited the hospital, brought us many meals, offered so much comfort, support and fun stories about Heather.
