Helen Evelyn Killebrew, 87, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4. Formerly Helen Hubbard of Roxana, Illinois. She married Kenneth Killebrew, Sr. in 1947 and they had three children, Kenneth, Jr., Patti and Eve. Ken Sr.; Ken Jr. and Patti survive as well as five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Helen was a 1946 graduate of Roxana High School and was active in the Roxana-Wood River community through her earlier life. She was president of the Wood River Junior Women's Club in 1964-65 and served in various other offices in the organization throughout the 60's. Later the family moved to Lincoln, Illinois and to Chillicothe, Illinois. Helen was active in the United Methodist Church in the Chillicothe and Peoria area before retirement. She later converted to Catholicism and was a member of her parish in Franklin, TN.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana, Illinois. No other funeral services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Susan G.
