Houston Y. (H. Y.) Beeler, age 96 of Franklin, TN passed away on May 26, 2016. Born in Obion County, Tennessee to the late Robert and Hadassah Beeler. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy L. Beeler; brother and sister in law Keith and Maxine Beeler.
He is survived by sons Mark L. and Bonnye Beeler from Hartsville, TN and Dan H. and Selisa Beeler from Franklin, TN. Grandchildren: Christy and Harold Cooley, Hartsville TN, Lesley and Andy Overman, Hartsville, TN, Maggie and Parker Johnston, Hartsville, TN, Josh and Katie Williams, Baton Rouge, LA, Jonathan and Jade Williams, Camden, TN and Jacob and Kate Williams, Franklin, TN. Siblings: Murray (Betty) Beeler of Linden, TN and Helen (Raymond) Grafford of Texas. There are numerous nieces and nephews. Special Friend, Peggy Crockett, Franklin, TN.
Mr. Beeler was educated at the University of Tennessee. He earned a BS and MS degree in Agriculture from UT - Knoxville. He was employed by the UT Agricultural Extension Service in Williamson County.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev Lynn Hill officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-6PM on Saturday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin. Active Pallbearers are nephews: Abner Alley, Russell Little, Tommy Little, Dewayne Beeler, David Harris, and Billy Blake. Honorary Pallbearers: Franklin Noon Rotary Club and the Horace Edgmon Sunday School Class at Franklin First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church Building Fund or any charity of your choice.
