Jack Douglas Walton, Sr., age 90 of Franklin, TN passed away July 18, 2017. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melba Horner Walton, and brothers Earnest Walton, Bud Walton, and Timothy Walton. He is survived by sons, Jack (Patsy) Walton, Jr., and Michael (Adrian) Walton; grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Phillips, Jack (Chloe) Walton III, Kellie Walton, Julie (Pat) Garland, and Kathryn Walton; great grandchildren, Eli, Lucy, and Wesley Phillips, and Harper and Graham Walton. Jack attended Cumberland High School, and was a graduate of MTSU. In 1945 he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and went on to found the Mid-Tenn. Rubber Stamp Co. and Shippers Supply in 1970. A man of diverse talents and interests, his greatest source of joy and pride was his family, who all reside in the Franklin/Nashville area. His favorite places were Nashville, Franklin, and Gulf Shores, Alabama where he and wife Melba vacationed annually with their family. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, July 22, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Steve Middlebrooks officiating. Interment will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pall bearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorials may be made to either Johnson's Chapel Methodist Church, or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
