James Edward Browne "Jim", 93, of Winter Park, Florida passed away peacefully on March 25, 2018. Born June 23, 1924 in Lewisburg, Tennessee, the second oldest of six children to the late Cecil Coleman and Grace Helen (Collier) Brown. He attended the University of Tennessee and Arkansas Agriculture & Mechanical College studying agriculture, then returned to his father's home place to utilize modern methods of farming, but was encouraged to do so on his own farm. Jim was the type who rolled with the punches, so he moved to Florida where he married and had two children. His love for animals led to his working in a veterinary clinic, running a pet store and owning Brown K-9 Grooming Salon. Jim married his high school sweetheart, Lorene Stockett, in 1983. He was known as a great storyteller and was quick to help others. Jim was active in the United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. He found peace in yard work and creating water features. Jim is survived by his two children, Deborah Lynn (Hidalgo) of Orlando, FL and James Kevin of Fountain Hills, AZ, as well as his brother, Kenneth Daggett, of Louisville, KY and numerous nieces, nephews, and other kinfolk. Jim is predeceased by his wife Lorene; his son-in-law, Leo Hidalgo; two sisters, Elizabeth Mai (Carter); Sara Josephine (Goodman) and two brothers; Marshall Allan and Cecil Coleman Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, May 6th at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
